In operation since 2011, Sanmar’s first shipyard is located in the midst of the famous Tuzla shipbuilding cluster. Sanmar’s purpose built tug building yard consists of a 144m x 16m x 23m clear height construction hall which allows six tugs to be constructed at once. A further three units can be fitted out at adjacent floating jetties.
In Tuzla shipyard, up to 20 tugs per year can be completed with bollard pulls ranging from 30 to 100 tonnes plus a number of special purpose workboats including electric tugboats.
The well-lit fabrication shop has been equipped to an exceptionally high standard by the vastly experienced team which has been building tugs of the highest quality for international buyers since 1990. Numerous innovative systems have been installed to enhance both safety and efficiency.
